Oh Such a Perfect Day
Woah its October and I have not written anything in the blog. Once again a self indulgent post. Its been some tough times, but I finally reached relaxation mode. The house, for the most part, is done.
Today was the first hectic but good day i've had in a long time.
Woke up slightly hungover from the previous nights festivities. Great restaurant, roast duck with berry sauce and fine red wine.
I realized that my RAM card arrived and I woke up groggy, but determined to pick it up. I got up at after 11am and I had to get to the delivery depot by 12:30. I got dressed, in desperate need of a haircut, and Tina drove. We didn't know where it was exactly, near our local Tescos in an industrial area. We missed the turnoff as usual, but calmly went back and found it.
I got there with plenty of time and picked up my package.
Next it was off for Tina to get her eye brows waxed. HA! When she was done, her brows were numb with pain and permanently in a look of shock and awe HA! She will read this post and hit me. But quite worth it.
Then we went back to the house, I had stuff to return to those over priced bastards at homebase.
We returned the paint and curtain rod and picked up a new door mat, little paw prints, and some light bulbs.
Then we drove to my usual barber in the ghetto. He was packed with some family or I dunno what, like half of turkey, so we were going to go to a more local place.
However, we stopped off to pick up my new tv for the study.
I wanted a 20 inch round flat screen type of projection tv, but it looked heavy and the box was probably too heavy for me to get in the car!
But Tina talked me into an LCD screen, which I picked up and so I got that with three years coverage. Sah Weet, can't wait to play mario and the new zelda!
So then we went to this new place to get my hair cut, guy did a good job and we talked of london and brooklyn.
Then tina threw a fit, we tried two barbars for her, but they were all booked. I told her to try beckenham high street. So we went there and sure enough this place took her. Now here is the great part.
We argued a bit about her throwing a fit over driving me every where, but she could not find a barber, this was before we went to the highstreet place. So I was quite stressed and did not feel like sitting watching her get her hair cut. Then I realized I am no longer in America. I am in England!
I went to the pub.
There I was at Ye Olde George Inn. An old ass pub as they all are, with a low ceiling. David Bowie grew up in Beckenham, and here I was trying to choose an Ale. When I spot Bass on Tap. Then i caught part of the England vs Australia on the Telly.
As Tina would tell her hair stylist "he got one look at this womens hair dressers shop and ran to the pub"
Then i came back just as tina was getting her hair dried and we had a feast of mc donalds. Two big mac meals, nine piece mcnugget and she had a hot apple pie.
I got home, installed my Ram card easy cheesy.
Replaced some light bulbs.
I sat down to watch the originalAlfie. With a right proper cockney in Michael Caine.
And here I am.
Good times.
Amsterdamn HOOOO!
And then NO SLEEP TIL BROOKLYN.
